Our Staff

Ricky Rudd, President

Ricky has over 38 years of plumbing experience with Rudd Plumbing. He began working for the company in 1971 as a plumber's apprentice and worked his way up through the ranks of the company. Ricky was named president of the corporation in 1995. He holds a Master Plumber License in the State of Louisiana, a Louisiana Contractor's License and a Texas Journeyman Plumber License.

Rodney Rudd, Vice President & Plumbing Estimator

Rodney began working for the company as a plumber's apprentice in 1977. He has worked as a field foreman most of his 32 years in the plumbing field. Most recently, Rodney has moved into the office where he works with clients to put together estimates and proposals for plumbing work. Rodney is familiar with estimating plumbing projects large and small. He is very thorough in his analysis of the projects he estimates. Rodney holds a Texas Master Plumber License, and a Louisiana Journeyman Plumber License.

Ross Rudd, Vice President & Service Manager

Ross also began as a plumber's apprentice in 1982 with the company. Ross has over 27 years of plumbing experience working on both new and remodel projects and service work. He presently serves as the Service Manager for our company. He oversees the scheduling of our repair plumbers, as well as, consults with our clients with their service related questions. He holds Journeyman Plumber Licenses in Texas and Louisiana. 

David Rudd, Secretary / Treasurer & General Manager
David began his fire sprinkler career with Rudd Contracting Co., Inc. in 1984. He has 25 years of experience in estimating, sales, and design of all types of automatic water based fire protection systems. After 9 1/2 years absence from the company, David re-joined the Rudd Team as General Manager. His primary responsibilities involve overseeing the day to day operations of the fire sprinkler division. He holds a Level IV certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), Texas Responsible Managing Employee License (RME), and an Associates Degree from Tyler Junior College.

Chris "Ty" Edwards, Alarms Manager
Ty has twenty-eight years experience in the construction industry. He owned his own company until January 2007 and then came to work with RUDD Contracting Co., Inc. in April of 2008. Ty has held management roles; including bid, design, installation, ongoing service and product requirements for Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and Residential clients. Ty currently holds fire alarm and security manager licenses along with certificates in corrosion, electronics and nationally recognized fire, security and cathodic protection courses. Ty is a Corrosion Technologist and a member of NACE International (National Association of Corrosion Engineers). He is currently working with the Fire Protection division to develop a process to help stop MIC (Microbial Induced Corrosion) in fire sprinkler systems.
Ken Rudd, Estimator / Field Supervisor
Ken represents a 4th generation at Rudd. He started his career as a plumber's helper in 1992. He holds a Journeyman Plumber License in Texas. He later transferred to Rudd Fire Protection as a fitter. Ken now oversees the scheduling of fire sprinkler crews and estimates fire sprinkler projects small to large.

Rusty Meadville, Plumbing Estimator
Rusty is our newest member of the staff. He started with Rudd Plumbing Co. in 1978 as a helper. With 30 years of commercial and residential plumbing experience, Rusty brings expertise to the table when working with clients. He holds a Journeyman Plumber License in Texas. He holds an Advance Training Certificate for A. O. Smith water products service.

Chris Adee, Fire Sprinkler Designer
Chris began his career with Rudd in 2004. He holds a Level II certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in fire sprinkler system layout. He is currently majoring in Civil Engineering at the Univerisity of Texas @ Tyler and hopes to bring that engineering expertise to Rudd Fire Protection. He successfully completed the Beginning Fire Sprinkler Designer Training School offered by the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA).
